Not A Phone, Not A Laptop – Nokia N900

Visit Simple Pimple! Managed by a professional editor, the blog is pretty awesome!

N900 is Nokia’s first Maemo device which offers a powerful and functional mix of a smartphone and a pocket laptop.

It’s high time Nokia came up with a gadget like this one to stand the competition against the rival Apple, who has been successfully increasing its smartphone market share in the absence of any serious competition. The new Linux-driven device should help Nokia to pull the blanket on its side. This, in turn, will certainly push Apple & HTC (*given that HTC discontinues stuffing their technology with Windows OS) to create something even better. Keep up fighting guys! Competition drives innovation and we, users & consumers, are happy to benefit from it.

I'm sorry, but it is not the first Nokia device using Maemo.

Please dont slag off windows mobile, its still better than iPhone OS, because its open and allows you to do whatever you like, as opposed to what apple says it wants you to like.

Windows mobile is here to stay, its the only serous enterprise smartphone OS and more and more phones will have it, not less.

Rovex, I disagree. Windows OS is slow and bulky as opposed to iPhone OS and Google's Android which is now gaining a lot of popularity. Microsoft is not innovating enough to keep up with the competition and will hopefully give way to the strongest very soon. They should do Xbox and not more. Do what they do best.
