What videos do we like to watch most?

We tend to watch videos belonging to the following five major categories more than any others: cat videos, music and dance videos, baby videos, funny videos and porn. You discover this browsing through a lot of blogs on a daily basis.

Here is why we like cat videos (watched over 7 million times):

This one was cute. Cat videos, as a collective term for animal videos, include treadmill falling cats and angry cats; sleepwalking dogs and talking dogs; turtles eating pigeons, advertising flies and what not. Animals are part of our daily lives. Our friends and family. They are cute, funny and silly – like our babies. That’s why we like them and that’s why cat videos are so popular.

2. Music and dance videos.

We like music and dance videos because we wish we could sing or dance like them, in the video. Or because we want be rock stars and earn a lot of money. Or because we simply like the tunes. Music and dancing are inspirational.

Here is why we like music videos (watched over 25 million times):

3. Baby videos.

We like them because babies are like cats – cute, silly and funny:

4. Funny videos & porn videos – no questions asked. Videos of this kind bring out9 9% positive emotions.
