As many of you know, Diesel together with Only The Brave and Grand Crew productionhave annouced a Block Party event on the 15th May, 2009. For the launch of Only The Brave, Diesel recreated, in the heart of Paris, the original spirit of hip hop by bringing together a collection of talented, modern-day artists that have never abandonned the primary values of the movement.
Perhaps you missed this great hip hop event or you want to relive this moment and savour the artists’ performances. Here is the opportunity to re-experience the vibe before the next Block Party in Spring 2010 which will offer up a plateau of incredible quality. Are you ready to put your hands in the air?
During the event, you will meet artists such as Hocus Pocus, Sly the Mic, Anthony Joseph and David Walters, live on stage before a jam session with the legendary Common. Common, aka Common Sense, is a rapper from Chicago who has established himself as one of the best American MCs around. Far from the bling bling stereotypes, he has remained true to underground hip hop, to its pacifist message and primary values.
Last year, The Block Party was completely free of charge and open to everyone, and it united people from all backgrounds using the jam session concept: from hip hop lovers to neighourhood residents, to people just passing by. The location of the event was kept secret until the day of event – let’s see what happend this year. The clock is ticking.
