Beetles are not animals usually favoured as beautiful but you have to make an exception here. These tiny golden creatures look like a cross-breed between tortoise and beetle, thus the name-duh!
The first four picture are taken in India but these tiny beauties are common North American beetles usually found on morning glory leaves, their favourite food. Interestingly these beetles can change colour. Colour change is done by microscopic valves controlling the moisture levels under the shell.
