Prankcall.co.uk [check out my earlier post on how to pull a call prank on your friend] has launched a contest in which participants can win a Nintendo Wii, iPod Nano or a Flip simply by pulling out a call prank on a friend. Which is obviously good news – finally, I can get gifts for being bad to my friends.

Prankcall.co.uk contest

The contest started on October 15 and will run until December 15. During this time, everyone interested (open to UK only) is invited to pull off pranks on their friends in a bid to win the competition and a get the gifts. The rules are simple and straightforward – you make a prank call, record it and publish it online. You’ll need only 20 votes for your prank call to get into the competition. Not to say that you can cheat yourself in, but there are quite a few ways to get yourself a lot of votes. Lastly, the call price has been reduced to £1/min, so basically it could cost as low as £3 to get in the competition.

The fall is about to start, which means December is nearing and Christmas season is just around the corner, which reminds me of snow, reindeers, mistletoes, cinnamon cookies and wine…. And of course presents. It is a bit too early to rush into Chistmass shopping, nonetheless now is a good time to start thinking about what will make your loved ones’ Christmas special this year. Of course, you are likely to end up buying aroma soaps, candles and socks, which are nice, yet boring presents. They won’t last long, will they? How about digging into Personalised Christmas Cards?

The site allows you to browse through and choose variety of fun designs for you card (I personally like the sleeping pup with a Santa hat!), be it on recycled paper or not, and make your own message (now that’s my favorite part). It’s the first make-your-own-christmas-card site I have seen where you can have Hallmark style cards professionally printed and catered for you and delivered right at your doorsteps. I figured it is a good time to start browsing through them now, as once gets a 10% discount on the order for being an early bird! Smarter to avoid the Christmas rush. I especially like the fact that I get to give to charities by making my order. Now, isn’t that a better way of preparing for the yuletide cheer? Perhaps this year my Christmas cards will actually make it on time to family and friends across the globe!
